DC announces assistance of Rs 4 lakh to bereaved family

Srinagar, January 05 (KNO) : A man on Saturday slipped to death when he was clearing snow on the roof top of his house in plan area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district. The deceased was identified as Mumtaz Ahmed of ward 4 in Bandipora town who was working as TSO in Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution department . Mumtaz died after he fell down from the rooftop of his two story house when he was clearing snow. Sources told KNO that he was rushed to District Hospital Bandipora where doctors declared him brought dead. Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Shahid Iqbal Choudhary announced assistance to the bereaved family. “We extended assistance of Rs 4 Lakh and our team is with them in this hour of grief,” Deputy Commissioner tweeted.
